The "HOT" garden is the newest garden here at the PCR. We had some family dynamics change in 2022 and we needed to revise part of our property to accommodate a guest house for the MIL. This meant that the meadow area would be reduced in size and the firepit would be relocated to the other side of the property. Below are pictures of the process. The firepit area is 24'x24' with the firepit itself being 8'x 5'. The outside raised beds are built of concrete block and topped with stone. We used flagstone pavers for the "floor". The entire area is planted with "hot" colors (red, yellow, orange and blacks). The walls are strung with cable and we've planted native honeysuckle and trumpet vine to enclose the area as it grows.
